Chen Yunlin, President of the Chinese mainland's Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits or ARATS, says the agreement on investment guarantees is not expected to be signed during the 6th round of talks, but will be completed in the near future.
Chen Yunlin said, "It's a very comprehensive agreement that involves many fields. In spite of our hard efforts, it cannot be achieved right now to both sides' satisfaction, especially for business people. More time is needed to accomplish a satisfactory agreement."
